Today I went into my solo battles and saw the featured opponent available. I hit RB to verify that the remaining opponents were there and it only showed the rankings screen. I backed out of solo battles and went back into it, hit RB again, and now the opponents showed up as they should. Then I just played my solo battles like normal with no issues.
